I am a lifelong photographer who has settled on a meditative type of photography called Miksang. Originally working in large format silver-gelatin darkroom work I have made a full transition to digital work and home printing. I have had experience running a fine art photography gallery in my home town of Portland, Oregon mounting over 120 shows of artists from around the United States. I have served as a portfolio reviewer for national portfolio review gatherings and initiated in the mid-2000s a Portland Photo Events announcement emailing service which has helped invigorate an already vibrant art photographaphy scene in Portland. Currently I simply practice my love of Miksang photography both at home and during my travels.

As for non-photographic pursuits, I am an avid lifelong guitarist and have raised and trained Labrador Retrievers. I am currently retired from a career in Orthopedic Surgery and am reveling in the time available for all of my passions.
